In the third quarter of 2024, the leading carpooling and ridesharing apps in Austria on the Android platform displayed varied performance in terms of downloads and active users. Data provided by Sensor Tower sheds light on these trends.

Bolt: Request a Ride maintained a relatively stable download rate throughout the quarter, starting at around 2.3K in early July and closing at approximately 1.7K by the end of September. Active users also showed a consistent pattern, beginning at about 19K and experiencing a slight decline towards the end of the quarter, finishing at approximately 17.6K.

Uber - Request a ride experienced a peak in downloads in mid-September with nearly 2.3K, while active users increased steadily from around 73.8K in early July to a peak of 77K in late September before dropping slightly to 74.4K by the end of the month.

BlaBlaCar: Carpooling and Bus saw a modest increase in downloads, particularly in mid-September, reaching a peak of approximately 672. Active users followed a similar trend, peaking at around 3K before ending the quarter at 2.4K.

inDrive. Save on city rides experienced its highest download week in mid-July with 221 downloads, while active users fluctuated slightly, starting the quarter at about 782 and ending at 783.
